My husband and I just bought a house that already had an ADT system installed from the previous owners. Our agent referred us to Safehaven who put us in contact with ADT. ADT called us and we decided to find out about options to continue using their service. The technician that came to install the system said we would have to switch out the old system and put in a new one and that would cost us $400. He said we had 30 days to test it out and cancel if we weren't happy with the system or service.

Lies!!!

He had us eSign on his iPhone which we could not read whIle he quickly scrolled through the signature sections. 2 days later we were at work and got an alert that the glass break alarm had gone off. They called us and asked if we wanted them to call the police. We weren't sure what was going on because we weren't home. As it turned out, the alarm was set off by our dogs barking.

We weren't happy at all with the system or service and called to cancel. We were told that we only had 3 days and the cancellation had to be mailed in to there corporate offices in Colorado. We live in NJ!! We have to have teleportation in order to make that happen. We didn't even get 3 days let alone 30 that their tech lied to us about. They give you a false sense of security by lying through their teeth.

Then they told us in order to cancel now we will be liable for 75 % of the total 3 year contract. That's upward of $1,500 for 3 days of awful service.

I just spent 40 minutes on hold. Went through 3 people the first was with ADT,

Tyler, the other 3 were with Safehaven. First the manager, Candice who just passed me off to Bernadine. Then Bernadine passed me off to Richard Smith who is the rudest most useless Cancellation Manager. He would not let me speak and refused to listen to anything I said. We pay these people's salary through their scamming us.

This is a scam operation and I call for a class action lawsuit. If you care to stop this company from continuing to rob hard working people join the movement.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

They got me as well. Glass breaker was set off by my dog.

I got fined for a false alarm because the cops came out. Tried to cancel they said I'd owe over $1,000 in fees for a 36 month contract that I wasn't even told about.

The contract they have doesn't even have my signature on it the edocument was signed by them! Marks_06@***.com

Let me know if you guys have anymore ground to file a suit against them please

I've actually had Safe Haven install an ADT system for me and everything works fine and I'm charged what they said I'd be charged.

I'm really sorry that they took advantage of you like that. I hope that in the end you found a security system that worked for you.

I hear a lot of neg reviews about sales and techs trying to lie about the cancelation period and using the DocuSign to pull a fast one on our customers. It really *** me off as a honest, by the book rep that people like this manage their way into our company. At our office, had this happened there would have been an instant investigation into it and if it were true our manager would have went above and beyond to make sure if you were truly unhappy the reps 30-day bs would have been honored and the rep would be instantaneously terminated. Our branch has a zero tolerance policy for customer deception.

At our branch we are possionate about security. Keeping your family, pets, and home safe is top priority. The money, the awards, the bonuses all take a back seat. The best part of our jobs is knowing that our customers are safe.

I hope that this experience did not deter you from pursuing another security company and that your home is safe.

Hey guys we are in! If anyone is interested in the class action lawsuit.

A branch manager came into our home and took a $100 cash and lied about it!

We have not gotten any help whatsoever! If anyone else is interested comment on this and we will get this started!!!

I'm not sure why I didn't get this email until today but my husband and I are still angry about how we were treated and if we gather enough people we are moving forward with this. There are a lot of people out there struggling to find jobs and these clowns seem untouchable. They should be fired and replaced with kinder and smarter folks.

Yes I too experienced the same issue and talked with a Micheal, a Blaine Harris and you are correct the rudest cancelation manager Richard Smith! Would love to join in on the class action lawsuit suit! They lie and nothing you say can convince them you are right.
